Hey i’m Claire
I am a Nelson NZ based photographer.
I’m Claire Dewson, a professional photographer specialising in natural, emotive portraits and lifestyle imagery for families, couples, and creative professionals. I blend thoughtful composition, gentle direction, and a keen eye for authentic moments to create images that feel both timeless and true to the people I photograph. Working primarily on location and in intimate studio sessions, I prioritize comfort and connection to ensure each shoot reflects my clients’ personalities and stories. From relaxed family sessions to styled personal branding shoots, I deliver a collaborative experience and high-quality final images that are crafted to be cherished and shared.

Claire was flexible and supportive throughout our entire day - and by the end of the day (really halfway through) we felt like we had a friend there with us. As we can’t control the weather, our day was delayed - twice, Claire made us feel so special and did everything in her power to make our day stress free and adjusted her plan to make it work for us - including being our personal driver!
