I am a Nelson NZ based photographer.

I’m Claire Dewson, a professional photographer specialising in natural, emotive portraits and lifestyle imagery for families, couples, and creative professionals. I blend thoughtful composition, gentle direction, and a keen eye for authentic moments to create images that feel both timeless and true to the people I photograph.     My husband and I were married on Mt. Olympus by Helicopter and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Claire! Claire was flexible and supportive throughout our entire day - and by the end of the day (really halfway through) we felt like we had a friend there with us. As we can’t control the weather, our day was delayed - twice, Claire made us feel so special and did everything in her power to make our day stress free and adjusted her plan to make it work for us - including being our personal driver! Not only is she AMAZING at what she does, she's also so genuine and kind. She went above and beyond for us and we will forever be grateful that she was a part of our day! Not only is she incredibly talented, she brings such a level of calmness to the day ensuring all of your special moments are captured. She makes you feel right at home in front of the camera - great for my photo shy hubby - and she is just a joy to be around. So many laughs were shared, and we even had rave reviews of her from your guests. She was incredibly helpful with timeline planning to get the best photos while still making the most out of our time with our guests, and some alone time with each other. Our photo gallery is absolutely stunning and I cannot recommend her enough!
